Youth Ministry

Life Teen (High School) and Edge (Middle School)

Leading Teens Closer to Christ

The Cathedral Parish seeks to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, to draw them into responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic community, and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person. Our middle school and high school-aged teens are welcomed and involved in the life of our parish through liturgical and hospitality ministry, as part of our parish's outreach to the greater community, and through their participation in our Life Teen and Edge programs.

Edge is our middle school youth ministry.  Edge meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 PM in the Youth Room (at 600 58th St. N) and is open to all 6th-8th graders.

Life Teen is our high school youth ministry.  Life Teen meets on Sunday evenings following 6 PM Mass until 9 PM in the Youth Room.

Summer Programming

While our parish meets the holistic needs of its young people throughout the year through our weekly Edge and Life Teen youth ministry programs, these summer experiences of deep encounter with God and putting their faith to work in the community are truly transformative in their lives.  This year we are proud to offer three such programs: Edge Summer Camp at Hidden Lake, Life Teen Summer Camp at Covecrest, and the Good Samaritan Project-St. Pete at Most Holy Name of Jesus in Gulfport.  We also are in need of middle school- and high school-aged youth volunteers to help animate our parish's annual Vacation Bible School week.
