God Bless the Graduating Class of S.Y. 2018 - 2019... Congratulations, graduates!

A Message from Our Rector

Dear Parishioners,

We are in a season of happy transitions. On Thursday, 40 eighth-graders received their diplomas from St. Jude Cathedral School. I was impressed by their sense of gratitude to God, their parents, their teachers, and this Parish for their excellent Catholic education. Our Parish should be proud of our many young people, and of our outstanding school, administered by the Diocese of St. Petersburg. I am impressed by our dedicated and capable principal, assistant principal and faculty.

This coming week, the Cathedral will host the Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation for St. Petersburg Catholic High School. St. Pete Catholic is presently experiencing significant growth and is near capacity enrollment. During this past academic year, there were massive renovations made to the older classrooms, the Bishop Barry Wing. I am so pleased that this superior Catholic high school is within our Parish boundaries, and that our students have such easy access. I am further pleased to know that many students receive grants and scholarships to help defray the cost of tuition. There is a great Catholic Spirit at SPCHS.

At Mass today, let’s joyfully praise the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for His never-ending
generosity. This is a blessed era.

Your Brother in Christ,
Fr. Proulx
